When dragging BWSplitView divider it continues resizing subviews past subview max size

Reported by colindw (at gmail) | September 30th, 2009 @ 10:59 AM

When you add a BWSplitView to a window and then set the max size for a subview(s) and then start dragging the divider around, the divider works as expected except if say you set the max size for the left splitview and put an element in the right splitview that auto resizes in it's view then in the running app you drag the mouse in the splitview and it hits the left pane max size the mouse will continue moving right, and the subview in the right splitview subview will continue resizing a little bit and then stop.

It appears to only happen the first time you do this, subsequent attempts don't appear to do the same thing. The left view does not appear to continue resizing when this happens, but the right subview does (in the case of the app I designed where just the left subview in the splitview has a max size.)

I've recorded a video of this happening and will update this report with said video link (if necessary) showing this bug in action when I get to a less restrictive network.
